Grant Donation and Funding
Impact projects
Our support ranges from initial catalytic grants, project specific funding or more substantial multiyear partnerships. With all our support we seek to foster deep relationships, a collaborative and learning culture and shared values.
Responding to crisis events
Crises such as natural disasters, significant tragedy or pandemics can cause disproportionate hardship for vulnerable people around Aotearoa and the world. We seek to be responsive with rapid support funding where needed to resource those working to alleviate the immediate disruption following an event.
Below is a selection of some of the charities we have provided funding to.
TMNZ staff giving initiative
A significant part of our journey has been working alongside the TMNZ staff team. Each week an individual TMNZ staff member nominates a charity of their choice to receive a donation of $1,000. Choosing a charity that has a personal meaning and importance for them has enabled staff to participate directly in the act of philanthropy and to share their experience with the wider staff team.
Early-stage technology and impact investments
We invest catalytic capital with a high-risk profile in initiatives and companies. Our goal is to support entrepreneurs and companies who are developing breakthrough solutions that support a lower emission economy and can tackle the serious and pervasive social challenges we face in society.
We also invest in impact-focussed opportunities where both positive community and environmental impact can be demonstrated alongside sustainable financial returns.
We actively seek out collaborative investment opportunities, working alongside other investors to support current ventures seeking funding.
