A restored and thriving Aotearoa
Our vision for a restored and thriving Aotearoa emerged from a deepening understanding of the vulnerabilities in our natural environment and acute challenges in many of our communities. On our current pathway, these challenges are set to become more extreme.
Our mission is to catalyse transformation in these areas to support a resilient natural environment and thriving communities – a world we can be proud of for future generations.

Working with non-profits
We use a strategic, systems-level approach to philanthropic giving and investment.
We look for and act on opportunities that can catalyse significant change.
We collaborate with others (individuals, companies, philanthropic peers) and wholeheartedly seek to continue learning and growing.
We accept the nature of risk and take a long-term view – investing in innovative ideas and passionate people who are committed to tackling the root cause/s of significant issues.
Working with the market
We believe that the market has a significant role to play in accelerating change, so we seek to invest in these opportunities where possible.
We actively seek out collaborative investment opportunities, working alongside other investors to support current ventures seeking funding.
We invest catalytic capital with a high-risk profile in initiatives and companies. Our goal is to support entrepreneurs and companies who are developing breakthrough solutions that support a lower emission economy and can tackle the serious and pervasive social challenges we face in society.
We also invest in impact-focussed opportunities where both positive community and environmental impact can be demonstrated alongside sustainable financial returns.
